Lady Liberty

Loved the framing of her here with the tree.

After the blizzard

The blizzard whipped snow everywhere. I've never seen calm quiet snow be so frenzied. Nothing slows down there I guess :)

A night at the post office

A night at the post office, originally uploaded by rainmaker656.

We emerged from the subway to this view. The snow had just started and this huge building just came out of nowhere. The city was amazing like that, we didn't plan our travel routs at all, but we ended up running into a lot of really cool things we might have missed otherwise.

This is poet's walk in Central Park. The park was one of the best parts of the city for me. It was nice to find some trees that weren't landscaped. It was the most odd park I have ever been to though so big you can almost get lost in feeling away from the city, and then you look up and the buildings that surround you remind you of the hubub outside.

Tall Skinny Buildings

Tall Skinny Buildings, originally uploaded by rainmaker656.

I loved these buildings. They are so craftily made to look like unique little homes in a place where home seemed so far away to me. Each one had it's own personality.

Summer TIme

LOVE LOVE LOVE!!! The sailing instructor job at TYC this summer. I spend the day hanging out with kids and teaching them how to sail. I swim and play and laugh and hang out in the sunshine. I like my coworkers and I am even getting the hang of how to work with the sobbing terrified eight year olds. What I can't figure out however, is how exactly the summer is passing so quickly, and how much I feel like I haven't seen ANYONE since I've been home. I have so little time after work and everyone is running around all over the place. YAY growing up I guess.
P.S. I happened to bring my camera on the ONLY day it has not been brilliantly sunny all summer. I'm so tan, at least for my red-headed alergic to the sun self.....hahaha so I guess I'm not that tan :)

I don't think....

That absence makes the heart grow fonder, I think it just breaks it a little at a time.
